GWR (Great Western Railway) have sponsored the Polo on the Beach weekend at Watergate Bay on Friday 26, Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 June 2015. It is expected to be an even bigger and better event than ever before. This year they are looking to play three matches with a Friday and Saturday evening match at 1800 and one on Sunday morning at 1130.
In addition to the polo, there will be numerous other exciting events in the build-up to the main event. Polo demonstrations, beach activities, the Devil’s Horseman display team, the Kids Zone have organised activities for the children. St Francis Home for Animals will be laying on a public dog show and Watergate Bay Surf Lifesaving club will ensure the crowds are entertained throughout the day. A ticketed beach party will take place in the evening of Saturday evening.
There will be a selection of street food stalls will tempt your palette from mid midday right through until the evening. There will also be a Champagne Garden, a Horse and Carriage beach bar and a Bath Gin bar, that is a bar with gin distilled in Bath, Wiltshire.
