For something different this May Day, have you considered a visit to Padstow, a pretty little port on the North Cornish Coast? ‘Obby ‘Oss Day will be held on Monday 2nd May. It’s the biggest day in Padstow’s calendar. It’s not unusual for 30,000 people to flock into this little town on the day when Padstonians from all over the world return to their roots. Everyone has a really great time. It’s best to book accommodation early, but if you cannot find a suitable spot in Padstow, there’s plenty nearby.
If you are travelling by air to Cornwall, your flight will terminate at Newquay Airport. Coastline Travel is based there and will be delighted to whisk you off to your chosen accommodation wherever that might be. They have a range of vehicles, all of which are modern and comfortable.
Padstow has a small harbour in which there are a few local fishing boats, pleasure carft and private yachts. The adjacent river Camel is tidal with a regular ferry across to some gorgeous beaches. The Camel Trail begins at Padstow and cycles of all sizes can be hired. If walking is your thing, well, you’re right on the South West Coast Path. When your stay is over, Coastline travel will ensure your timely arrival at Newquay Airport for your flight home.
